Summer Comes to an End

It has been awhile since I posted anything. But summer is coming to end. I wish summer was longer but honestly it couldn't get over soon enough! Chad graduates Sept 4th!!!!! Only a month to go. I will be flying down the 3rd and driving back home with him. His sister, Adrienne, and her boyfriend Todd are driving down with her dad and his wife Sue. It will be fun all of us down there together! We are going to do some sight-seeing while we are down there...the Riverwalk, Alamo, who knows what else.

Chad took his last written exam this past Friday. Whoohoo! He did very well on all of his tests even if he tries to tell you otherwise. He will start doing more of his hands on exams and work in the field. There will be a period of time that he'll be out in the field so no phone, this will be about 10-14 days. We have been very fortunate to talk on the phone everyday for at least a couple minutes. So it will be a challenge not being able to talk.

I started my new job at the bank. I like it but have worked 40 hour weeks needless to say I'm a little worn out. I just have to work on my time management more with school and everything. Once vacations come to an end my schedule will lighten up some.

Good News

Chad has started with his unit for his medic class! Whoohoo!!!!! This is good because he is busy with studying and sitting in class all day. Now we just have to wait for me to start at the bank and we will be good. I start at the Bank of Franklin County the 20th. Chad will hopefully graduate September 4th, which is 5 weeks earlier than planned. I am going to go down, hopefully, for his graduation and do a little sight seeing.

I am keeping my eye open for houses that we can afford so we'd have somewhere to live. Now is the time to get into the market...so keep your eyes open! I think we have narrowed down honeymoon details---early booking saves money! Things are getting there now lets get to September and things will be great!!!

Happy 4th of JULY!

So wishing you a happy fourth a little late...hopefully it was a safe enjoyable one for everyone. I spent the fourth hanging out then went to the Becker's with my parents for some food and fireworks. Chad went to visit an old pal from the Marines in Corpus Christi. He watched fireworks from the beach, don't feel too bad for him. Sadly he hasn't met up with his unit yet but hopefully tomorrow. Makes it a little harder when he isn't busy or doing what he went there to do. So lets pray and hope he gets with his unit soon!

We got wedding invitations ordered today! I thought they'd take at least 6 weeks but he said he'd call in the next week and a half or so. Hmmm...gives us plenty of time to get those addressed and sent out. They are black and white---simple but elegant! Bridesmaid dresses are down to 2 options---I think. They both have pockets, which is sweet and makes me kind of jealous. That is about it for wedding details...

I am thinking I want a dog for any time Chad is gone. We are dog sitting little Bella---Anna & Derrick's dog. She is keeping me company and following me around! I absolutely love it.

Missing Chad

It has been a week since Chad left for San Antonio. We have been able to talk at least! Chad is getting to what is called "fast-track" which means come home early. He had his EMT national certification and the school's first 6 weeks is maintaining that certification. I start a new job at The Bank of Franklin County July 20th so hopefully that will help keep me busy. I am keeping somewhat busy with classes, wedding stuff, teaching some swimming lessons. At the end of the day though I still miss him. One day at a time though.
